A category is a Wikidot built-in mechanism for organizing content. A category is defined by the URL of a page:
The category is the part of the URL following the slash after the base URL and before the colon.

Categories group related pages together and enable us to:

  • Control public visibility of a group of pages
  • Display common page elements (logos, sidebar notes, etc.) on all pages of the catgory
  • Associate custom menus and navigation elements with a group of pages

Category List

A list of available categories is in the Workspaces section of the left side menu. If you don't see this side menu from your current page, go to the Content Development home page and it will be there.
